Borderlands Project Highlighting the Importance of Arts within our Community
12 young people (aged 19-25 years) from diverse backgrounds got together as part of a 26-week project-based at Studio 2 Arts in Derry. The aim of the was to create new online content that unlocks their creativity through supporting better life chances for young people through training, education and the co-production of projects.
This programme provided a supportive, safe space, where young people can learn to use media to increase their resilience and improve their emotional wellbeing as well as make meaningful statements about contemporary society.
I created this short film to showcase what they have made and to help highlight the importance of arts within our communities.
This video wouldn't have been possible without our funders; Comic Relief, The Community Foundation, Derry City and Strabane District Council, Lottery Funding, Northern Ireland Arts Council and Department for Communities.
