Aodhán Roberts: Editor, Photographer, and Videographer!

My passion lies in all things visual, from photography to videography and video editing.

I pride myself in creating content that connects with people on a deeper level and resonates with them long after they've seen it.

My journey into the world of journalism and film began when I was just a teenager. Armed with a camera and invested in all things visual, I started sharing news, stories, and memories through visual methods using my own social media pages - known as Derry Footage on Facebook and my name under everything else. I also directed my own award-winning short documentaries. Through my work so far, I have amassed a following of over 40,000 people across various platforms.

Now, I'm working in Belfast Telegraph and Sunday Life where I create and drive visual content for the company, alongside working on the picture desk.

I've also had the pleasure of working with clients before this, including businesses, charities, and individuals, helping them achieve their strategic goals by creating visual content that increases conversion rates, generates leads, and attracts more attention.

For me, visuals are about more than just creating something that looks good. It's about being authentic and adding value to the work. Whether it's through my work in journalism or my past work with clients, I believe that visuals have the power to strike a chord with people.

That's why I always strive to create content that's not just aesthetically pleasing but also adds creative aspects, quality and an emotional connection.
